New...Ice Jewelry for Fall and Winter!

I've been working with the newest rage...Ice Resin!  It's so light you can hardly tell you have it on.  I picked up few strands at BeadFest and now am ordering every color!  It catches the light just right and the color tones are very warm and cozy.  I'm excited to work on more chunky necklaces to wear over sweaters in the coming cooler months.  I'll be at the Danville Arts & Crafts Fair on September 11th...downtown.....stop down and see my new designs for Fall and Winter.  I think you'll like what you see!

I've Got An Itch to Etch....What fun!

I picked up some etching solution at the BeadFest Show last week.  I've wanted to try this effect for some time now.  The left copper pendant is rubber stamped.  The right piece I drew freehand. The round top pendant is brass and was rubber stamped.  This was my first attempt and it was one of the most rewarding outcomes of my craft adventures.  My mind is now spinning with ideas of incorporating this in to raku frames for pendants and whatever this feeble mind can muster up.  I've been spending much of my time lately working with metals.  It's becoming a close second to my love for clay.  I definitely think theres room for both in my day!  I'll keep you posted with my progress.  Oh by the way...I worked with my Liver of Sulphur to get the darkened inlay.  Enjoy your day!

Bead Fest Philadelphia Finds

I spent a great day with my good friend and beader, Luci Bromberg yesterday.  We enjoyed an entire day at the Bead Fest show.  I picked up most of the items I  hoped to find and more...Normal for me at a  buying show.  Small towns around my area, so I tend to buy extra to save on high shipping costs.  I picked up some fun chain, rustic ceramic Indian Beads, wooden beads, assorted leather, multi color glass frit, resin cubes, and swanky pearls.  I also picked up a few tools I needed.  Overall it was a nice show, but I felt some the big jewelry suppliers were missing.  Not much brass, not much in the way of findings...just the basics.  I felt the Wire Fest show was more fulfilling for me.  Don't get me wrong, I'll still go....just wishing for more of a selection. So now to start putting my ideas into cool jewelry!

Beaded Peace Bracelet on Leather

An attempt at a gorgeous bracelet I saw on one of my favorite blogs.  Angela is now the proud owner and Alexis is boohooing because she said it was cool first...so on my travels today, I'll put together another for her too!  Trying to figure out now, "how to incorporate my clay beads and charms".  I've also seen this concept put together on silver or copper wire instead of leather.  I'll be trying this concept soon.  Let me know what you think...
